Over the past week, I decided to begin work on a new zoo having been inspired after seeing "Jurassic World" in theaters.

I call it "Jurassic Planet" because it is a zoo that is very loosely based upon the park from "Jurassic World", but is at the same time entirely my creation.

I've spent many hours carefully planning out each and every detail, while making sure each tile of path and family restroom is perfectly positioned to maximize guests' experiences with the dinosaurs.

This zoo is almost finished, and over the next few days, I'll be posting pictures and adding it to the download database sometime next week!

That sounds really cool (kinda makes me sad that my laptop is broken beyond repair so I can't play ZT2).

Question, will you be using mods for more realistic dinosaurs (fluffy t.rex and alike)? Or will you stay true to the base franchise of JP.

Jurassic Planet is nearly complete! It will be released to the download database this Friday, July 3rd.

In preparation for the release, I will be posting a new picture every day until Friday, with each day bringing a more exciting and revealing photo!

Here's the photo for today, Sunday, June 28th:

I'm not exactly sure.

For the past 7-8 days, I've been spending anywhere from 1-3 hours on most days working on this. So I'd say anywhere from about 10-15 hours total. I spent a lot of work on fine details for this one.

Next picture reveals a sky tram system giving you a bird's eye view of the herbivorous dinosaurs in Jurassic Planet. This picture does not reveal any of the species found in the exhibit, however!

Stay tuned, as I post another picture tomorrow!

Lol, good point! I don't know either, I guess I just like to keep the map more organized.

Anyways, time to reveal the first animal in Jurassic Planet.

This is a large, aquatic reptile familiarized (yet exaggerated) by the movie "Jurassic World".

Jurassic Planet proudly presents a picture of our Mosasaurus!

Stay tuned for more pictures!

Lol, no, it doesn't eat sharks!

Phew, almost missed the picture for today. Only 10 minutes till midnight!

Anyways, let's reveal the next animal from Jurassic Planet.

The first dinosaur we will reveal is a bipedal theropod dinosaur closely related to the infamous velociraptor. Like the velociraptor, the deinonychus hunted in packs and featured a sickle-shaped killing claw on the second inmost toe on each foot.

Stay tuned for the next picture tomorrow, and be sure to download Jurassic Planet, available in the Download Database Friday!

It pains me to see a dinosar so naked and exposed (i am strongly for the idea that feathers are basal to all archosaurs, based on studies in the difference in genome between chickens and crocodiles)

But otherwise very cool. Is th artificial carcass supposed to represent any specific prey item or was it just there because why the tethys not?

(The tethys sea is lepidotian h***)

Lol, the goal of this park is to remain somewhat along the lines of the Jurassic Park franchise, so no feathers is just inevitable.

And no, the carcass is just there to be a more realistic feeding container.

Anyways, it's time for Jurassic Planet's last reveal before the park goes public in the Download Database tomorrow!

The next dinosaur is a large carnivorous dinosaur with a sail on it's back. This animal was known to eat fish and spent much of it's life in and around water. Unfortunately, this dinosaur was not featured in the latest movie, "Jurassic World" except for a skeleton that was smashed by the Tyrannosaurus.

Jurassic Planet proudly presents a photo of one of the most impressive creatures in the park: Spinosaurus!
